Head Coach Clarence Hairston

I was always an athletic kid, but sports wasn’t really my thing because I sang. I joined the military and started working out, because that’s what you should do. I would encourage others to workout with me to distract ourselves and everyone was happy and enjoyed it. Before I got out of the military, I got certified because, like performance, I could invoke an emotion and make people feel good. Training has enabled me to meet so many different people, create community and family. Let’s combine forces and  push each other to be our best, together.

Coach Jonathan Ibrahim

I’m 32 years old and have been in the fitness industry for 13 years. I started my career at equinox training clients and working my way up to Fitness manager overseeing a staff of trainers. During that period of time I fell in love with bodybuilding and started competitions in physique shows. After leaving the globe gym world I worked for LAUD teaching high school students the art and science of human movement, prepping them for a career in the health and wellness industry. Human movement, strength, body Re-composition and nutrition has always been a passion of mine and I’m so excited that I can continue on with that passion here at Tempo!

Coach Alex Higa

Movement has always been a huge part of my life. At the age of 3, I started dance classes and then began training at Pacific Northwest Ballet School in Seattle. Once I reached middle school, I figured out I had a passion for basketball and left ballet to focus on that throughout high school. I then attended Western Washington University and received a bachelors of science degree in Kinesiology with a focus on health and fitness with a minor in dance and taught a variety of group fitness classes. After graduation, I began my journey of personal training, started my own business, and along the way, was lucky to work with a range of clients. From professional athletes to women pre/post-partum to dancers to people who were retired …they all had a common goal and that was to move well. I began to incorporate Pilates in my training because I saw how it could help all my clients improve their flexibility, strength, and overall performance. I love movement and spreading the joy of fitness
