Please follow the steps below to sync your Apple Watch with your Tempo Move. If you run into any issues during the process and have completed all of the steps, including troubleshooting, please get in touch with Tempo Support whose contact information can be found at the bottom of this article.
To begin the setup process, you can do this via one of the following options:
Profile Settings
Tap the Tempo App on your Apple Watch. A message will appear to open your Tempo App on your iPhone.
Open the Tempo App on your iPhone and go to Profile > Settings > Paired Devices and Apps > Apple Watch.
Class Lobby
Select the class you wish to take and select the play button.
Open the heart rate monitor options and select "connect" Apple Watch.
If your Apple Watch is already synced to your iPhone, this process should take only a few seconds. If your Apple Watch does not connect, ensure that your Bluetooth connection is enabled on your iPhone and that your Apple Watch is paired with your iPhone. This connection must be established before attempting to connect your Apple Watch to your Tempo Move.
You will then be prompted to connect your Tempo App with your Apple HealthKit. If prompted, select "turn on all categories." If you have already synced your Apple Watch with your Apple Health app you will not see this prompt.
When you want to use your Apple Watch with your Tempo Move, open the Tempo App on your Apple Watch and follow the steps listed on your iPhone in the Tempo App. After following the above setup steps, your Tempo App will look for your Apple Watch every time you start a class. Please follow the following steps to ensure your Apple Watch pairs correctly with your Tempo Move.
Select the class you wish to take from your mobile Tempo App.
Open the heart rate monitor options in the class lobby.
Open the Tempo App on your Apple Watch.
Select the Apple Watch in the list and look for a checkmark to indicate it has been specified.
NOTE: It may take a few seconds, up to a minute, for your heart rate to begin showing in the mobile Tempo App. Make sure all other heart rate monitors are turned off, otherwise their data may also be shown and recorded, causing inaccurate information to be displayed and recored. Finally, a reminder that if you have connected your Apple Watch before or after starting a class, your Apple Watch will attempt to connect on its own and you will see a successful connection has been made on your Apple Watch face.
TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS:
If your Apple Watch loses connection with your iPhone, ensure your Apple Watch and iPhone are still connected via Bluetooth.
Go into Settings > Apple Health > and make sure you have not opted out
Make sure that if you are a Tempo Studio and Move owner that your mobile Tempo App is logged into the device you intend to use. Failure to be logged into your Tempo Move account may result in the inability for your Apple Watch to connect with your Tempo Move.
If you are still experiencing issues getting your Apple Watch and Tempo Move to connect, close both Tempo Apps on your iPhone and Apple Watch and try again.
